MIAMI, December 1, 2015 – Aaron Groffman, president of healthcare consulting company The Ignition Group, and Herschel Reich, vice president in the payer consulting practice of OptumInsight, led a session in the National Association of Dental Plans 2015 Educational Webinar series. Aaron and Herschel discussed competition on the exchanges and the increasing pressure to capture the market share of individual and exchange dental customers. Dental networks are starting to evolve to meet market demands by offering tiered and narrow networks to provide the right combination of access and choice for consumers. The session, presented on November 11, 2015, included an interactive question and answer session.
During the webinar, Aaron and Herschel explored how the narrow network trend applies to dental plans and outlined the importance of using a targeted approach to narrowing your network. Attendees left with a better understanding of the logic behind narrow networks and how the dental industry is affected by this trend.
