MetLife’s 8th annual “Study of Employee Benefits Trends” (www.whymetlife.com//resources.asp) points out that there are big expectations for small businesses to fuel the economy. Retaining top talent and increasing job satisfaction become more important than ever. While 43% of employees cite benefits as an important reason for remaining with their employers, surprisingly health coverage may become “less of a differentiator”, and benefits like dental and life insurance will likely play an increasing role.
